Collector's Notes:
The text of this book is a collection of poetry as curated by the Pontifical Academy of Arcadia, a literary academy founded in Rome in 1690. Apparently the printed sections were originally bound (evidenced by blue sprinkle edge decoration), and upon the loss or removal of several sections, a previous owner filled in the missing content by hand—down to the catchwords.
