Collector's Notes:
The blockprinted paper on the spine turns in at the head and tail and is adhered on top of the pastedowns, distinguishing it as a later spine/joint reinforcement rather than an original quarter covering. This is further evidenced by the chipped paper spine label, which reveals and earlier inked title directly on the plain cartonnage covering.
