Collector's Notes:

Multiple copies of this pattern (on distinct white, red, and purple surface-colored papers) are reproduced in Kopylov’s D’allemagne and non-definitively attributed to Georg Christoph Stoy (pp. 108-113). Haemmerle suggests that Stoy's block was inherited and reused by Georg Reimund, though the print signature is hard to make out in his B/W photo (p. 124). Another copy printed on uncolored paper is attributed to Stoy (c. 1710) in Mick's Altes Buntpapier (pp. 84-85), though this one appears to be a mirror impression based on the only asymmetrical element in the design, the center fruits in the basket below the striped dome.
