Collector's Notes:
At least three titles bound together, second dated 1647, third dated 1800. A design similar but not identical to the purple floral pattern on the inner box rim is shown as part of the late 18th c. Bertinazzi sample book reproduced in Kopylov's 'Papiers Dominotés Italiens'. See examples #26, p. 323 and #346, p.371 (pinwheel spins in opposite direction, center relief is square rather than daisy-shaped). The base pattern for the yellow fern design at the bottom of the box resembles that of the endpapers on 24.034 with a different fill and colorway.
