A lovely example of 'structure visible through damage', the missing spine parchment revealing abbreviated sewing over tiny raised cords, neat kettle stitches, stuck-on textile endbands, and rather dubious colored paper spine linings.

Also a lovely example of combined techniques in the decorated paper. Paste can be decorated with a variety of techniques, but the foundation here—a layer of pigmented paste applied over the whole sheet, then blind-impressed with a woodblock—lands this example squarely in the "paste-decorated" category.
